Welcome to the 13th Thredbo Blues Festival 12-14 January 2007, a 3-day celebration of Blues & Roots music throughout spectacular Thredbo that's organised by community organisation Tourism Thredbo.

The 2007 Blues Festival is set to be even more spectacular with Thredbo Celebrating its 50th Anniversary. New for 2007 will be the ‘All Star Concert' which will see the Village Square turned into a Blues lover's paradise with Headline Acts performing in the evening on the Saturday night.

Known by Blues Lovers as the 'boutique festival' Thredbo offers a unique alpine environment to enjoy the blues, surrounded by the mountain scenery as you stroll to all the 18 venues that are within walking distance of each other.

Performances can be seen in a range of venues including outdoor stages, bars, the Thredbo Village Square, cosy restaurants and at the top of the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift. Intimate performances in the restaurants are a favourite and bookings are recommended. See The Venues for contact details.

Once you arrive you can leave your car and take in all the action as the venues are within walking distance throughout the village.

Restaurant gigs are a great way to enjoy fine food and wine in the company of accomplished musicians, however bookings at restaurant venues are essential and it is strongly recommended to book in advance.

Thredbo has many restaurants, cafes and shops with all the facilities you'd expect to find in an international class year-round resort. In the village square there’s a supermarket, bottle shop, chemist, bakery and newsagent to provide all the essentials along with a choice of retail stores to find that special gift or souvenir of the village and the festival.

Thredbo is also a renowned summer tourist destination so if you feel the need for a break from the Blues why not organise a game of tennis, golf, a bobsled ride, hike, mountain bike and a swim or work out in the Thredbo Leisure Centre.
